Senior Tax Credit

Renew your Senior Tax Credit March 1-June 30th, 2026

You must renew the Senior Tax Credit every year.

New applications will be accepted March 1 - June 30th for the 2025 Initial Credit Year.  

Applications can be made in person at the Collectors Office or visit https://www.homesteadcreditpro.com/stclair to apply online.   

If you apply in person please bring your proof of Identity, age and residency ( Government-issued ID, such as, Drivers License, Birth Certificate, passport,  Voter ID Card, ect. )  

To qualify you must meet the following requirements: 

• 62 years or older on or before January 1st, 2026.
• Owner of Record
• Liable for payment of the taxes
• Primary residence
